Sustainable Design

Open Revit Architecture.
Open the Autodesk Design Academy segment on Sustainable design. Read about sustainable design.
Click on the Architecture link and read about Sustainable Building Design Information.
On the left side of the browser, click on Revit Architecture and read about the exercises.
On the left side of the browser, click on Exercise 1. Resize the window so that you can read it while working in revit.

When you have completed Exercise 1, print out the drawing on a b size sheet, scale to fit.

Introduction to Autdesk Viz
[STANDARD ACT-ADDI-1: Students will identify .]
Create a folder in your student number called VIZ Projects.
Start a MS Excel document. Here you will compile a list of keyboard shortcuts and commands. By creating it in Excel, you can sort the list alphabetically later.
Launch AutoDesk VIZ.
From the Welcome screen, watch video #1 Explore the User Interface. Pause the video to try the different commands.
Continue with video #2 Create Objects. Pause the video and create the different objects. Make the collection tank 36" diameter by 48" tall. Make the intake pipe 4" outside diameter with a .25" wall thickness.
Continue with video #3 Move, Rotate and Scale. Pause the video to try the different commands.
